Y’know, it’s good that two kids have been raped, a family has been torn apart and they’ll both likely spend a long time in prison. Because it means we get to be badass and self-righteous and say “It ain’t right, but I would of done the same” as if any fucking sane person would mentally place them self in that situation, let alone know what they’d do. The commitment to raping eighteen year old kids with metal bars should the opportunity arise is truly admirable, and “it ain’t right but I would of done the same” let’s us know you’re an awesome vigilante hero, rather than an immoral asshole who cares more about his own gratification that the actual lives of the people involved.

And let’s not forget the creepy gleeful references to prison rape that inevitably come up in every one of these conversations, along with he suggestion that it’s some natural form of justice. After all I’m sure prison rapists are very discerning in whom they brutalise, it’s not like stronger prisoners won’t just rape weaker prisoners without asking what their crime was first.

Yay for abusive step-brothers, yay for abusive step-fathers, and yay for a prison system that allows the brutal rape of vulnerable persons as the norm. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, so get the poker.
