I thik I know where I got my hole fetish from.  You see... well, this is kind embarassing really.  See, back in the day was the Atari 2600, and... I'm stalling so I might as well come out and say it. 

I liked E.T. for Atari.

See, in E.T. the point was to reassemble your phone and call the spaceship to pick you up but all the pieces are in holes.  And I played the game and I kinda liked it, actually... and I guess I got a thing for holes while I was at it.  Usually logical holes, but you know how things go...
